Prom- Take Two

Sunday, the day after prom, I received a phone call from SS. She said that she had had a dream that I came to visit her, and brought 1T with me.  She then went on to tell me how 1T's senior female friend had not been asked to Prom which was in one week.  SS's idea was for 1T to ask said female friend to Prom at the high school 1T used to attend, and to double date with her son.  How could I pass that up? 1T called, asked, and arranged.

By the end of that week, I had taken a day off of work, and we were headed back to the town we consider home for Prom- take two.

Because we didn't have much time to plan, SS and I decided we were crafty enough that we could make the corsages and boutonnieres. It only took us 2 days to find the flowers, and about 2 hours to make the corsages.

We decided that we were talented enough to make them, just not efficient enough to make money doing it.

Unfortunately, 1T's date did not go with a hot pink dress, so we had to go with the old black tie and cummerbund standby because of lack of time.  1T's date looked wonderful though in orange.

We took pictures in his date's backyard. It was sunny, so there were shadows being cast. It was difficult to get good pictures, but being the innovative mothers we are, we came up with something.

We got some cute pictures. . . with no shadows.

1T took this sweet girl to her first prom.  They had a great time, and 1T got to spend some time with one of his life long friends.

We only got to stay for the weekend, but it was great to see everyone again, and spend time with my soul sister.

  2. That was so fun! We need to arrange it again next year. Do you think we could convince 2T and M to go?
