I have a fetish about the Internet. Maybe it is because I have been in the PTA for far too long, but I have a problem putting names of loved ones out onto the superhighway to get run over. Because of this, I have created code names for those who might appear in my blog regularly. To the right you will find a code dictionary to help you decipher who these people are when you forget the acronyms. Below is the extended version. Believe me, if you are that person, you will know it!
DSH- Dear sweet husband- that one is easy
1T- is my oldest male child who is much larger than a tablespoon
2T- is my second male child who can be tooty sometime- on his instrument that is.
S- my sweet daughter
R- my rambunctious last child who is very bouncy
SS- my "soul sister" whom I met many moons ago because she was on my VT route. She has always been there for me. We used to babysit each others kids, do preschool together, and have several hour VT appointments. Now we talk on the phone most everyday, go out to lunch, drive carpool to teenage activities, get our sons to take their dates out together. In general, she is the sister that I don't have here.
FH- is "Forever Happy". That is a perfect description of her. She always has a positive spin on any situation. She is just as positive with her friends as she is with her children. I have never seen anyone so patient. She includes everyone who is willing to join her in any activity she is enjoying. Her eternal perspective is in the forefront of her mind. She is very generous, anything she has can be yours, and the price doesn't even have to be right!
KV- is my "Kindred Vacationer". This friend has endless energy, unless you compare her to her husband. She is always planning something, whether it is a trip to the lake to go boating, a shopping trip to the neighboring town, or a trip to Mexico just because. Right now we are planning a trip together for our 40th birthdays. Ok . . .mine not hers. She loves to plan trips even if she doesn't go on them. She is my world traveler friend. You can count on a good time with her. She is full of laughs and smiles. She is also my exercise partner. It is good to go with someone who has endless energy, she keeps me going. She has a way of not taking things in life too seriously. Somethings just aren't that important. It is a good quality of hers that I would like a little of.
CP- is my"Card Partner". We have had a fast and furious friendship. I have become so close to her faster than I would have thought possible. We get together with our husbands often, and our families almost as often. We can just be relaxed around each other. We watch movies, eat dinner (almost always Mexican), and go to the temple all about once a week. When we get together we almost always play cards. My friend likes to think that she is easy going, but she's not, especially when it comes to cards. Some how she always seems to find a way to slip me the queen of spades. After a few times of that, I'm not very easy going either. She has become my comfortable friend, where I can go hang out with her and her husband in my pj's if I want. I wonder if they are that comfortable with me!
JG- is "Jaguarundi"which is defined as an American wildcat, and that is who this friend is. She is my unconventional friend. She is the one who keeps things spicy, and likes to walk the line. She has taught me to see things from a different perspective, not to judge people, and to love others unconditionally. She is a great listening ear, and loves to say, 'I'm glad that's not my struggle.' She has been my friend for 13 years, and I don't think she has ever thought less of me for sharing my dark side. She is a little bit of a rebel, and a closet rocker. When we are together the metal bands are resurrected. She is one of those friends that when you get back together with after time apart, you are able to pick right back up with like no time has passed at all. We are friend who can go to education week and not sleep at all. We have tried this many times. She and I will be close forever.
MW- is "Manic Worker". She is all about go,go,go. She is always working on something. She is doing the work that most men do, which is great, but sometimes she pulls me in and we have delusions of grandeur. Why would we ever think that we could hang sheet rock on the ceiling by ourselves? I don't know, but we tried! She is always buying, selling, remodeling, paying, writing, etc. etc. etc. Recently she told me she was not able to get everything done, and was feeling sluggish. My response was, "Welcome to being a normal person." She is so generous and loving. She is someone who has blessed my family over and over. I love her and am glad she is in my life.
Man! Am I blessed or what!?

OK, I'll try it
As it says in my profile, I love to try new things and finish nothing. Here is yet another new thing. So reader beware. This may be a glorious one time event in blogging history for yours truly.
A dear friend of mine has convinced me that this is the easiest way on the planet to keep a journal. We shall see. I do need to do this though, for no other reason but that I may be moving out of state. Ugh!
Life does not seem fair at times.
By the end of this week I will be:
living alone with 4 children
trying to sell our home, which means keeping it clean all of the time
starting a job
have a husband living in another state, but he will visit once a month :)
and having a nervous breakdown
Aren't you glad to be reading my post?

Yesterday was 2T's 15th birthday. I can't believe he is getting that old. He is really into music, and plays the oboe in the high school band. Recently, he went to a district competition and placed first, which allows him to go to state as a freshman. His band instructor was very excited because freshmen don't usually go to state. For his birthday I had this shirt made for him. He loved it.
